Onnit Alpha Brain- The Best Nootropic Supplement There Is

Onnit Alpha Brain

When we wake up, we might be in our best selves yet. Most of the time, adults will drink something like coffee or any other stimulant just to get themselves prepared for the day ahead.

While caffeine can certainly rev up your day, it might not provide you with the best mental clarity and focus that you need. For that reason, you will need a nootropic.

Read further to find out why Onnit Alpha Brain is the best nootropic on the market.

What is It?

Onnit Alpha Brain is a nootropic dietary supplement that aims to improve mental focus and performance.

It has scientifically proven ingredients that help you get that mental edge. In fact, this product is so good that you can get into your ‘flow’ state or a state of full mental focus when doing certain tasks.

This supplement is so good that Joe Rogan, a popular comedian and UFC analyst, cannot stop raving about it.

What Makes This Effective?

Just like any other nootropic, the ingredients that come with any product are the ones that make it effective or not.

That being said, Onnit Alpha Brain only has the best of the best out there. Here is the product’s complete ingredient list:

  • L-Tyrosine- This is an amino acid that ramps up the production of dopamine and adrenaline inside the body. It is known to improve both performance and mental focus, especially in stressful situations
  • L-Theanine- Another amino acid that can improve one’s mental focus, L-theanine can stimulate the release of dopamine and serotonin- two neurotransmitters that induce alpha wave activity in the brain
  • Oat Straw Extract- Extracted from oats, this compound is known to improve one’s cognitive function
  • Phosphatidylserine- Plays a major role in maintaining cellular function
  • Bacopa- A well-known nootropic, this herb improves the reception of nerve signals by promoting the growth of nerve receptors, particularly in the brain
  • Alpha-GPC- A compound that acts as a precursor to acetylcholine
  • Huperzia Serrata- Also known as Huperzine A, this clubmoss can help prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine
  • L-Leucine- A branched-chain amino acid (BCAA), L-Leucine is well-known to help with protein synthesis
  • Pterostilbene- A derivative of resveratrol, it can help protect the brain and nerve cells by promoting cellular integrity

All of the ingredients on this list are well-known and clinically proven to work. Probably, the only thing that doesn’t make sense is L-Leucine since it is an amino acid that is typically taken as a means of promoting muscle growth.

Anyway, there are three targets that this supplement aims to reach. First is that it promotes improved alpha brain wave function.

What that means is that the greater the alpha brain wave activity is in the brain, the calmer and more focused you are no matter what task you are doing.

The Onnit Alpha Brain also helps you reach optimal acetylcholine levels. For those of you who do not know, it is a neurotransmitter that pretty much controls a lot of things in the body- from regulating the different cells in the body, as well as the release of hormones.

Lastly, the company aims to improve your nervous system even more by optimizing its neural communication. That means that your brain is not only focused but it is also sharp and quick in making decisions as well.

Serving Size

Each serving size consists of two capsules and you are advised to take two servings per day. It is also very important that you take this after consuming a light meal so that you will get double the benefits.

Review

So, why are people raving about this product? Well, that is mostly because of its rich nutrient profile. All of the ingredients used in the making of this product are all scientifically proven.

However, it still doesn’t make sense to me why L-Leucine is included in the list since it is known to only promote muscle growth. But, it is still a nice addition at least.

People who have taken this supplement for a long time report no known side effects. All of the ingredients are safe to take, provided that you do not go beyond the recommended dose.

Now, there is one thing that I will have to say about this. When you look at the supplement facts, you will find that although the ingredients are carefully laid out, their exact dosages are not disclosed.

Also known as proprietary blends, some people might not be comfortable with the idea of consuming something that they do not know exactly how much of it is inside.

But, if you are to take into account the many people that can attest to the effectiveness of this product, it might give you a sigh of relief that it is safe to take.

Verdict

Onnit Alpha Brain is a well-known nootropic and for good reason. It has a rich nutrient profile with things that are known to improve mental clarity, focus, and performance.

Each bottle costs $34.95 and it is often found on sale so it should be easy for you to take more than one.

The product is so amazing that even popular celebrities are all raving about it.

If you want to improve your mental performance, consider getting the Onnit Alpha Brain nootropic supplement.

Sony WH-CH510 Review- A Budget Wireless Headphones to Beat

Sony WH-CH510 Review

As more and more smartphones are ditching headphone jacks, people will be forced to get a wireless pair of earphones or headphones. While the former is okay in most cases, the latter will provide you with a much better listening experience.

Wireless headphones are pretty expensive, at least the ones that provide decent sound quality. But actually, you need not spend a fortune in getting a good pair.

The Sony WH-CH510 is looking to be a pretty interesting proposition. Read further to find out more about this promising pair of headphones.

What is It?

The Sony WH-CH510 is a pair of wireless headphones that are set to provide people with a really good listening experience.

Part of what makes people stay away from wireless sound systems is the fact that they just aren’t that good as opposed to their wired counterparts. Well, that is true back then, but it certainly isn’t true nowadays.

This pair of wireless headphones is actually a budget-friendly option for people that want to upgrade their wireless audio.

Sure enough, you can use this on your smartphone or any mobile device that has Bluetooth technology.

Design

The Sony WH-CH510 is a lightweight pair of on-ear headphones. Since this is an ‘on-ear’ pair of cans, that means that they will sit on top of your ears as opposed to completely covering them.

While it certainly makes the form factor more compact for travel, the on-ear nature of the ear cups might cause fatigue to some users, especially during prolonged usage.

However, the good thing is that the headphones are pretty light and its clamping force of 0.8 pounds is not as strong as it would seem, so there is still a semblance of comfort.

You can choose between three different colors: Black, Blue, and White. Personally, I love black because it is more neutral and it certainly goes well no matter what you are wearing.

It has somewhat of a diamond grid design and its textured surface makes it easier for you to grasp the cans without them ever slipping from your hand.

Bear in mind that part of why these headphones are lightweight is due to its material. It is predominantly plastic though the ear cups themselves are faux leather. The leather material does a pretty good job of isolating the sound in place, though it may make you sweat if you are in a hot place.

Its plastic material is also part of its downsides, however. I wouldn’t recommend throwing the headphones just about anywhere. In other words, you should handle it with care if you are to make them last longer.

The small form factor might also be a problem for people with large heads. The larger your noggin is, the stronger the clamping force may be. Always keep that in mind.

Features

Sony WH-CH510

There are three buttons that are responsible for media playback on the headphones. You can play, pause, skip, forward, or adjust the volume up or down. Any of the buttons can also be configured to run your preferred voice assistant as well.

The Sony WH-CH510 also comes with a microphone so you can use it to make some calls. However, I do want to point out that the audio quality of the mic itself is not as good as you’d want it to be.

This pair of headphones also make use of a USB-C port for charging. Sadly, it doesn’t allow for USB over audio so you’re out of luck when the cans run out of battery.

The good thing is that the Sony WH-CH510 charges really fast. So fast, in fact, that you can have 90 minutes of playback on a 10-minute charge (assuming that volume is set at 50%).

Battery life is good. It is rated at 35 hours and in my testing, I was able to squeeze 30+ hours on a single charge with the volume set at 80%.

Performance

Despite its cheap build quality, the Sony WH-CH510 actually performs really well. Although it doesn’t provide the boomy sound that is similar to Sony’s higher-end headphones, the WH-CH510 provides you with a more natural sound.

That means that the mids and highs are pronounced and the bass levels are quite respectable, though it could definitely be improved.

I did notice its performance dips a bit when listening to pop and rock songs, but for all other genres, it is quite respectable.

Using Bluetooth 5.0, this pair of cans do not have any problems with connections at all. Audio is clear even when you are far away from the source.

Sony WH-CH510 Review 2020

Verdict

While there are compromises that had to be made, the Sony WH-CH510 is a pretty budget offering from a company that is also known for creating amazing audio products.

Its predominantly cheap build quality and its on-ear design might deter some people from buying them, but its sound quality and battery life are topnotch.

If you want to buy the Sony WH-CH510, they cost $59.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Review- Is This Phone Still Worth It in 2020?

Samsung Galaxy S9 Review

Samsung is arguably the biggest Android smartphone manufacturer in the market. With a lot of phones in its product stack, you will find budget and premium phones under Samsung’s portfolio.

Every year, they release new phones on the market and while budget options are good, their premium phones are even better.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 was released back in 2018 and it was their flagship phone back then. How does it hold up two years after? Read further to find out if it is still worth it in 2020.

Design

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is pretty much a clone of the previously-released Galaxy S8 flagship device. It has the same design language but that is not really a bad thing at all.

While most phones nowadays provide you with 90-95% screen real estate, the screen still has somewhat big black bezels at the top and the bottom parts of the display. However, the sides are pretty small thanks to the curved screen.

You will find a bevy of the usual buttons that can be found in any smartphone, but what’s interesting is that the S9 comes with a dedicated Bixby button situated just below the volume controls.

Bixby is essentially Samsung’s foray into the digital assistant space, though it is definitely far from perfect.

Display

What makes Samsung flagship phones really amazing is its inclusion of the company’s Super AMOLED panel technology. It provides you with the best contrast and picture quality than any other display technology on the market.

True enough, its 5.8-inch, quad HD screen is amazing from a content-consumption standpoint. The blacks are perfect and the colors are punchier than other displays out there.

While the default ‘Adaptive’ picture mode provides you with saturated colors, set it to DCI-P3 color gamut instead and you get true-to-life picture quality across the board.

People who love streaming content from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video will surely love the screen’s HDR10+ capability.

Performance

Samsung Galaxy S9 Review 2020

Depending on your region, you might get a phone with some slightly different specs. For instance, if you live in the USA, you will get a Samsung Galaxy S9 that is packed with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 processor.

However, if you live in Europe and in other regions, you could be getting a version that comes with the in-house Exynos 9810 chip. The performance difference favors the Qualcomm chip, but the Exynos CPU is no slouch at all.

Most phones of today are packed with at least 6GB of RAM, but the S9 is only limited to 4GB. Don’t get me wrong, 4GB is more than enough back then (and even today for most applications), but as you play more demanding games and content, you will find that it may not be enough.

In terms of audio, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is fitted with AKG speakers that support the Dolby Atmos technology.

Personally, I don’t like built-in speakers in phones, but I am pleasantly surprised that the sound system on this device is actually quite decent.

You will still get some distortions when you are listening to content at max volume, but when you set things right, the speakers of the S9 should be quite okay for most people.

Software

When the Samsung Galaxy S9 came out, it came with an old version of Android. However, powering the device today will give you a notification to download Android 10, which is the latest version of the said operating system.

Aside from a huge version jump, the phone also comes with more new features. One notable inclusion is the company’s AR emoji.

This is Samsung’s answer to Apple’s Animoji and although the feature is a bit similar to what the latter is offering, it is still clunky and mediocre at best.

When this phone first came out, Bixby is not as reliable as Google’s own assistant, but the said feature has certainly improved quite a lot in a 2-year span.

While you still have to make sure that your words are audible and understandable, Bixby is able to perform different tasks really well (at least, when compared to when it originally came out).

You can tell it to make a call to a specific person, you can tell it to find suitable information about the things that you want to know about, and you can even tell it to set reminders for you.

However, more work needs to be done in order to refine the feature even more, but I am happy to see the vast improvements that it has received over the years.

Camera

What makes the S9’s camera quite appealing back then is its variable aperture feature where the phone’s algorithm will quickly shift the aperture to suit the environment.

Most phones before this do not have such a feature and if you are taking pictures in dimly lit environments, for example, the resulting image is not good.

Fortunately, this variable aperture feature can adjust the camera’s aperture between f/1.5 and f/2.4 to suit the immediate environment that is suited for both day and night photography.

Of course, you can also set a fixed aperture setting if you are well-versed in this thing, though the variable feature makes this phone quite appealing for complete photography beginners.

Battery Life

Samsung Galaxy S9 2020

If we were to review this phone on the day it came out two years ago, I would have said that it has a considerably large battery capacity. However, its 3,000 mAh battery will not fare well in this day and age.

While the processor/s is quite efficient in handling minor tasks, its small battery life just doesn’t compare to Samsung’s most recent flagship devices. In fact, battery life is worse when you compare it to the iPhone 11.

With moderate use (mostly minor tasks and some gaming on the side), the phone can still last a single day, but if you mostly consume media content, the device can last up to 6-8 hours depending on the brightness and volume setting.

On the flip side, the Samsung Galaxy S9 does come with a fast charger and it is also capable of wireless charging as well so you can just place it on a charging mat whenever you are doing other things.

Verdict

To be honest, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is still a pretty worthy device. Sure, its battery life is subpar at best, but its camera, as well as its other features, are truly noteworthy.

I would still recommend that you get the Qualcomm version of this phone simply because of its better performance and efficiency.

After everything that has been said, should you buy it? Absolutely! When you look at its current prices, you can snag one up for only $300!

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is still a worthy phone to get in 2020.

Sony ZV-1 Review- Why This is the Best Camera for Vloggers

Sony ZV-1 Review

There are over 7 billion people all over the world and a sizable portion of that has social media profiles and vlogging platforms.

With the advent of smartphones, people are compelled to create their own platform wherein they can amass a massive audience and earn money.

Since we live in an age of vloggers, what better way to improve your experience than to get a trusty camera with you?

This article will be a review of the Sony ZV-1. Read further to find out why it is the best camera for Vloggers.

Design

Many people consider the Sony ZV-1 to be similar to the company’s RX100 series cameras and although there are similarities, this one is actually specifically made for vloggers.

This camera doesn’t have an electronic viewfinder but instead, it has a flippable screen that makes it easier for single-person operation. The feature is actually pretty useful for vloggers since they want to capture everything in their surroundings without the help of another person.

While the flipping screen is a touchscreen, it is somewhat limited in its features. Basically, the only thing that you can do on it is to help you focus on particular things that you want to take a video or photo of and that’s about it.

If you are to toggle with the various settings and menus, you will still have to use the rotating wheel and the ‘OK’ button found on the right side of the camera.

The lack of a viewfinder means that the product may not be ideal for capturing stills, but since vlogging is its main focus, it might be a fair trade-off.

Since vloggers would need to take a lot of videos and in particularly noisy environments, you get an included windshield in the package.

For the microphone, there is a three-directional capsule microphone found in the left, center, and right portions of the device which makes it easier for you to talk and be heard. The included windshield does a remarkable job of blocking wind noise as much as possible.

Unlike the Sony RX100 series cameras, the Sony ZV-1 has a textured surface on the right side of the device for extra grip and the flippable screen makes it easier for you to attach accessories as opposed to the standard tilt screen.

Features

Sony ZV-1

The Sony ZV-1 is considered to be a vlogger-friendly camera and because of that, Sony has incorporated two buttons that will make people’s lives easier.

First is the shortcut for the Bokeh effect. This button just makes use of the wider aperture configuration to allow you to blur everything on the background (which puts focus on the main subject).

The other button is what the company calls the ‘Product Focus’ which is great for people that create review videos on Youtube.

Technically speaking, the second button just removes the Face and Eye Priority autofocus, as well as the Steadyshot Stabilization features of the camera, though using a tripod would definitely be required if you want to enable this mode.

Performance

Where the Sony ZV-1 excels is its amazing autofocus. Packed with the company’s Real-time Eye Autofocus technology, vloggers would really love how quickly the camera can focus on different subjects, making it so much easier to vlog and shoot.

The lens that comes with the unit is a 24-70mm lens, with an aperture of f/1.8-.2.8. It is definitely ideal for vlogging and it allows you to take advantage of the ‘Bokeh’ effect to blur out anything in the background.

While 4K videos are definitely achievable with this camera, you can only shoot it at a maximum of 30fps. I would still recommend sticking to Full HD resolution since that is what most people are using anyway.

When it comes to video quality, there is no denying that this camera really performs well. The details are crisp and vibrant and what you see in the real world is what you get when shooting anything using the said unit.

Since the Sony ZV-1 is made for vloggers, Sony has made it its mission to incorporate technologies that highlight the human face. That is why they’ve employed algorithms in the ZV-1 to ensure that any human faces that are captured during the shooting process are as natural as they can be.

Verdict

So, should you buy the Sony ZV-1? Well, if you are a vlogger and love to whip out a camera quickly and easily to capture videos, then this camera will not disappoint.

Its autofocus system is class-leading and the camera’s flipping screen makes it ideal for you to capture videos at any time.

Where this falls short, however, is that its 4K capabilities only limit you to taking videos at 30fps and the lack of a viewfinder makes this unit not the best when it comes to capturing stills.

I would say that if you are a vlogger and want a camera that you can rely on, the Sony ZV-1 is definitely a good choice.
